The matte nail polishes are a relatively new concept in the world of manicures. Matte nail polish is a type of polish which does not contain any gloss or shimmer particles and has a flat, dry appearance.
How to do a Joker Purple and Green Nails
Materials:
- A Kylie Cosmetics Matte in Purple
- A Kylie Cosmetics Matte in Green
- Clear Top Coat
- Tweezers
Step 1: Start with a white base coat. We used the Golden Rose Matt Finish 3 in 1 Base Coat. You can also use wet n wild’s fast dry nail polish for this step.
Step 2: Add the green color to the left side of your nails and purple to the right side of your nails. We used the Kylie Cosmetics Matt in Purple and the Kylie Cosmetics Matt in Green. You don’t have to worry about being neat, because these are both matte colors so it doesn’t matter what you do with them! The more crooked they are, the better!

We wanted to share a simple tutorial with you on how to get these colors.
First, start by painting your nails with the green color and allow them dry for about 10 minutes. Then, paint one coat of black polish on your nails and wait another 10 minutes for it to dry. Next, take out the other green color and add two coats. Wait 10 minutes again before adding the final layer of white polish. When completed, add a top coat to seal in the design and put some matte nail polish remover if you want that icky feeling or just use regular nail polish remover.
If you’re not into the matte look, you can also do this design with your favorite colors instead of green and white! We suggest a lighter purple for a more feminine feel.
